Why does EFX recredential?

Consumer credit information is Equifax's primary business, and we are committed to providing the highest level of quality and integrity in the industry. Accordingly, we perform recredentialing and permissible-purpose audits on our customers as part of our procedures to comply with credit reporting laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681, et seq.

What is our role?

While customers work directly with Equifax on their review/reaccreditation, we provide a courtesy notice to affected customers each quarter to assist Equifax in connecting with the appropriate contact at the account.

As we work through quarterly Recredentialing tasks with our customers, we are to designate the appropriate Recredentialing contacts in our CRM and in Salesforce to improve deliverability, as required by EFX.

  • Add/edit in OUR CRM—Select “Recredentialing” on the contacts’ Marketing Correspondence > Areas of Interest.

  • Add/mark Recredentialing contact in Salesforce.
