What are Portfolio Insights?

Portfolio Insights are used as a pre-sales strategy to illustrate the opportunities that currently exist within a customer’s existing portfolio. Showing the amount and percentage of market share by service line (or lack of) serves as a platform for solutions to help them recapture “off us” revenue. “Off-us” refers to what consumers spend at other financial institutions.

Equifax takes great pride in the quality—and quantity—of its reported data. With 88 million businesses, 800 million consumers, and more than one million employers contributing data, Equifax is the primary source of repayment truth.

The data in a Portfolio Insight (PI) represents how a customer can leverage Equifax's robust data and unique market insights to move their business forward strategically and confidently. While this report does not encompass their entire portfolio, it provides helpful insights into their wallet share with their existing members/customers that can assist them in identifying your strengths and opportunities for growth.

Equifax’s Data & Analytics professionals are always available to discuss how their organization may benefit from a comprehensive analysis of their entire portfolio.

How are they used?

PIs are typically used as a pre-sales strategy to demonstrate the depth of information we can access and the opportunities available within their portfolio. It’s important to note that PI data may not be exact depending on what member numbers are requested and when data is pulled. It’s important to remember that this information is directional. If the customer would like a comprehensive portfolio analysis, that is a solution they can purchase.

How do I request one for my customer?

Because several departments are involved in producing a PI, you must use this easy-to-follow roadmap for requesting a PI.
